"Staff didn’t really know much"
The staff didn’t seem to know much about what I was asking. I was hoping for some help, but it just wasn’t very useful at all. Dissapointing.

"Nice people, but the process dragged on"
I could tell they cared about my dog, and the person I talked to was genuinely kind, which helped because I was already stressed. But the claim took longer than I expected, and I had to follow up more than once. It just felt like wasted energy at a time when I really didn’t have much to spare. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, I just wish the whole thing had been easier and moved along faster.

"Decent price, but literally check the exclusions first"
The price seemed okay at first, but I only noticed some of the exclusions after reading through the details more carefully. There were literally a few things I assumed would be covered that actually weren’t, so I’d definitely suggest checking the policy wording before buying. The claim info was a bit confusing too

"Helpful answers, but I felt a little misled on timing"
I reached out with a few questions about my cat’s coverage, and to be fair, the answers I got were clear. They explained what I needed to send in and didn’t make the process too confusing, which I appreciated.
The frustrating part was that I kind of felt misled about how quickly I’d hear back. One email took a couple of days to get answered, and I was sitting around waiting because I thought it would be quicker. Overall, the communication was decent, just slower than I expected.

I appreciated having a few deductible choices because it actually let me pick something that worked better for my budget. I spent a little time comparing the options, but it was straightforward overall. Based on my experience, it felt flexible and easy enough to use. Not perfect, but definitely a solid option for pet insurance

"Gives me real peace of mind with my dog"
It just feels really reassuring knowing my dog is covered if something unexpected happens. The claims process did take a little longer than I was hoping for, so that part wasn’t perfect, but overall I still feel like I can trust them. Having that backup in place makes a big difference for me, and I definitely sleep a little easier knowing I’m not completely on my own if my dog needs care.

I’m sure it’s fine, but using the website was kind of a pain. The portal kept logging me out, which was super relaxing, obviously. I did eventually find my claim info, so technically it works, but it took way longer than it should have and just didn’t feel very user-friendly.

"Not really worth the cost for me"
I signed up thinking it would help me save money if my dog ever needed care, but the monthly price feels a bit high for what you actually get. I figured more things would be covered, well, I guess I assumed they would be, but some stuff had limits or just wasn’t included. It might be a good fit for someone else, but for me, the value just isn’t really there

So... I submitted my vet bill through NS SPCA Pet Insurance and figured I’d be waiting a couple of weeks to hear back.
To my surprise, the claim was sorted out in just a few days, which was a nice relief. The emails were clear overall, though I did have to double-check one detail on my own.
It wasn’t absolutely perfect, but the speed was better than I expected and the payment came through without much chasing. I’d give it 4 stars...

We’ve had no major complaints overall, but the premiums have gotten pricey for us now. It’s frustrating, to be honest, because we would’ve liked to stick with it, but the cost just doesn’t make much sense anymore.

"Good Coverage, but the Waiting Periods Are on Them"
I got coverage for my dog, the sign-up part was easy. But the waiting periods really annoyed me because they did not feel clear enough upfront, and that is on them. I had to go back and read everything twice just to figure out what was covered and when.

It is not like the whole thing was a disaster, but it definitely made the process more frustrating than it needed to be. I am still happy overall with the coverage, but they need to do a better job explaining the waiting periods from the start. I would give it 4 stars.

"Annoyed They Didn’t Make the Pre-Existing Stuff Clear"
I signed up thinking this would be simple, but then my dog’s old ear problems were labeled pre-existing and suddenly not covered. I get that policies have rules, but they should’ve explained that way more clearly before taking my money. That part really irritated me and feels like it’s on them. To be fair, the claims for other things went through fine, so it wasn’t a total disaster. Still, the whole pre-existing condition situation left a bad taste

I had a claim recently. i expected the reimbursement to be a lot more. After paying every month, seeing such a small amount come back was frustrating. Kind of felt pointless. Just not happy with how it all turned out.

"Really easy to understand the coverage"
I liked that the coverage info was simple and not packed with confusing insurance wording. I could tell what was included and what wasnt quickly, which made choosing a plan for my dog a lot less stressful. I didnt feel lost or like I had to reread everything a bunch of times.
